Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes

About Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes

The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes is one of the most renowned event venues in the world, located in the heart of the French Riviera. Built in 1949 to host the Cannes Film Festival, the building has since undergone several expansions, including a significant renovation in 1982. The venue’s iconic status is linked not only to the Cannes Film Festival but also to a variety of other prestigious events throughout the year.

Located at Boulevard de la Croisette, the Palais is set against the stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. It spans a vast area of 25,000 square meters, and its facilities include 18 halls and auditoriums. The largest hall, the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière, has a seating capacity of over 2,300 people and is equipped with the latest technology to host a wide range of events, from film screenings to corporate conventions.

Apart from the Cannes Film Festival, other major events held at the Palais include MIPCOM (the international market for audiovisual content), Cannes Lions (the International Festival of Creativity), MIPIM (the world’s leading property market), and TFWA World Exhibition & Conference (for the duty-free and travel retail industry). The Palais des Festivals is a vital venue for the international business community, bringing together professionals from across the globe.
