Micronora, held in Besançon, France is a very specialized trade event for the industry of micro technologies and precision, reflecting the entire process from research and development, to production and subcontracting.

Micronora is a specialized trade event for micro technologies and precision tools. It brings the entire sector together to discuss and present solutions from the research and development steps; to specialized production, appliance and subcontracting. The event is held for four days in the second half of September, every two years.  The first edition of the expo was in 1972 and it is open for Nano technologies too since 2006. The city for the event is Besançon, east France near the border with Switzerland, and the event uses more than 25 000 sqm of exhibition area at Micropolis - Parc des Expositions. The event organizer is Micronora itself.

The micro technologies are a big and fast growing industry still. With mechanization of large-scale and precision processes, digitalization of all information and operations micro technologies are ever present in the nowadays society. All industries are involved: communication, medicine, aeronautics, security, luxury goods, transportation, indeed almost all industries where smaller, smarter and precise solutions are needed. Micronora is the ideal forum for all that.

For the last edition more than 800 exhibitors gathered and one third were international. The visitors were more than 15 000 people. Micronora is expanding with every edition affirming its importance as an event for a privileged niche.
