The role of IFAT Munich seems to become more and more important every year. It's the world's leading trade fair for environmental technologies, including the treatment of sewage and waste, water and raw materials management. Industry professionals, start-up entrepreneurs, technology innovators, delegations of international politicians and decision-makers from around the world convene at the Messe Munchen event space every year for this vital trade show.
The topics and technologies under discussion are many and varied:
Plastic and microplastic filtering, well construction and hydraulic engineering, water supply and sewerage systems, water analysis techniques, plant engineering, street cleaning, wastewater treatment plants, raw materials management, hazardous materials management, all manner of recycling technologies and a dynamic range of other related fields.
Taking up more than 260 000 square metres of Messe Munich's gigantic indoor space, the trade fair gives more than 142 000 industry specialists from 162 countries the chance to get together and talk about the latest trends as well as discuss and view developing technologies for themselves, in the shape of the wares of the more than 3300 exhibitors who attend each year.
IFAT 2020 is set to be the most international edition of the show yet. In previous years, the show has already attracted high growth levels of visitors from Japan, Russia, Australia, China and Slovenia.
For a trade show and conference which tackles such an important global issue, the organisers clearly understand that this is a vital goal. It's a trend which is set to continue.
