Bauma Munich is the leading trade show for the construction machinery industry. It incorporates the leading names in construction machinery, vehicles and equipment, mining machinery and building material machinery in one epic trade show.
It's a smorgasbord of offerings which draws 620 000 visitors from over 200 countries and regions to the massive Messe München exhibition centre every three years. Nearly half of those visitors come from outside of Germany, with particularly large increases in numbers of visitors journeying from further afield in recent years, especially from China, Japan and Australia.
Over 614 000 square metres of the huge halls and outside spaces available at the Messe are required to handle the stunning array of equipment and machinery on display at bauma. Over 3700 exhibitors from more than 60 countries showcase their latest products and services in one of the largest imaginable marketplaces. Bauma sets industry records almost every edition when it comes to both numbers and the range and types of innovation on display. In one recent edition, the Zeppelin-Caterpillar partnership alone displayed more than 20 world premieres in new machinery and equipment.
All of this is in addition to the colossal amount of networking and relationship-nurturing which takes place during the event. One of the common refrains of visitors is the high likelihood of investment by interested parties.
